I have been wanting to try these gel lip masks for a while and when The Face Shop newly opened several months ago, I bought one to try for myself. This product looks very fun and interesting to use!
The instructions on the packaging said to give your lips some "face yoga" before application. By face yoga, they meant puckering your lips a few times... That's the first time I heard of this term, haha! So I did this before putting the gel patch on my lips but I don't think it made much difference.
You leave this mask on for around 10 - 15 minutes and during this time you can walk around the house showing everyone your new Angelina Jolie lips! It's quite entertaining I must say. :)
RESULTS:
Before
After
Before I put this lip mask on, I had slightly cracked, pale, and dry lips. After removing the lip mask, my lips were not cracked anymore and had retained its natural lip colour. Surprisingly, my lips did not feel very moisturized afterwards. I did this mask prior to sleeping and thought it would leave my lips soft and plump overnight. Unfortunately, it didn't and I had to even apply lip balm after the mask.
Overall, I would recommend this product to be used before applying a vibrant lipstick. It smooths out the surface of your lips and it is a fun product to use. Though personally, I don't think this is a lip mask that will replenish the moisture back into your lips.
OVERALL RATING: 3/5
That seems interesting haha. I've never heard of lip masks before but my lips are so chapped maybe I should look into getting one.
ReplyDeleteYou should have posted some pics of you with the thick lip mask on showing your face haha
Ha I didn't want to scare people with my face because I dotted my problem spots with Mario Badescu's pink drying lotion :P
